Schneider Electric VW3A7803: This braking resistor is an option for variable speed drives of Altivar range. It has an Ohmic value of 25Ohms at 20°C. This braking resistor allows your variable speed drive to run while braking to a standstill or during slowdown braking, it dissipates the braking energy, and enables maximum transient braking torque. Its protection index is IP23. It weighs 28kg. It is designed to be used in hoisting applications. This resistor is designed to be mounted on the outside of the enclosure, but should not inhibit natural cooling, air inlets and outlets must not be obstructed in any way.
